The City of Salem is hosting an Exemption Presentation at the Jean A. Levesque Community Life Center, 401 Bridge St. Salem, MA 01970 on Thursday, September 12th, 2024 at 10:00AM – 12:00PM
A Personal Exemptions Clause granted is essentially a discount (or a deferral) on a residential tax bill. They are offered to the following qualified homeowners who fall under the following personal status:
● Service-connected & honorably discharged disabled veterans and spouses ● Gold Star Parents/surviving spouses of fallen veterans/Police Officers/Fire Fighters killed in the line of duty ● Legally blind homeowners ● Income and Asset restricted Seniors 65 years and older ● CPA exemptions for Low-income seniors 60 years or older and low to moderate income persons of any age ● Senior tax exemptions for persons 65yo or older who received the Circuit Breaker Credit on their MA State tax return ● Tax Deferrals for persons 65 year or older ● Senior Work-Off Program
