NOTICE OF MEETING

Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Salem Traffic & Parking Commission will be held on Thursday, November 18th, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. via remote participation in accordance with Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021.

Every effort will be made to ensure that the public can adequately access the proceedings in real time, via technological means. In the event that we are unable to do so on matters not requiring a public hearing, we will post on the City of Salem’s website an audio or video recording, transcript, or other comprehensive record of proceedings as soon as possible after the meeting.

MEETING AGENDA

  2. PUBLIC COMMENTS (15 min period of no more than 3 min per person*)
  3. NEW/OLD BUSINESS (each item limited to 3 min per person*)
    1. On -Street Parking Evaluation: Leavitt Street – Staff will review layout plans with the Commission which intend to address ongoing issues with vehicles parking on sidewalks. This is an opportunity for the Commissioners and the public to provide feedback on the plans that, if recommended, will require adoption of new parking regulations by the City Council.
    2. October Planning RECAP – Staff will review Traffic & Parking Department efforts during the month of October including an assessment of October resident permit parking, parking enforcement, and weekend shuttle services.
    3. Discussion: Traffic & Parking Commission Regulations – The Commission will review the ordinance that governs the Commission and discuss previously proposed regulations.
